Shower hose - right angle adapter???
Just fitted a new bath complete with mixer tap that has a shower take off on it. Problem is the downward facing shower take off is too close to the
bath itself and I can't find a shower hose that fits on and allows the hose to clear the bath.
The tap holes were pre-cut in the bath and tap came as part of the suite from Wickes (off to ask them tomorrow, but little faith they'll have a
solution).
Is there such a thing as a hose with a right angle connector for this issue or has anyone got any other suggestions...???
Cheers
Nick

What you need is a 1/2 " male to female chromed right angle. I've never seen a right angled 1/2" hose.

You would normally get the fitting with the tap assembly.
You may struggle to buy one off the shelf. May I suggest you take the tap back and ask for an alternative which will fit.
If the bath was not pre-drilled you might have been able to fit closer in to the bath to make it fit.
If both are from Wickes I should give them the problem to solve.

I certainly will be putting it back on them, but as above have little faith they'll be able to sort it short of offering a different tap. As
it's all now fitted including matching basin tap I'm loath to start pulling it all apart again
Just hoping there is an easy fix!

Found this from Bristan which might solve the issue...
Will still be tackling Wickes tomorrow though!

Dont waste your time with the DIY sheds as my experience is they don't know what they are selling. I used to get these enquiries all the time
when i worked as a plumber. Go into a proper plumbers merchant instead. Take the bits in with you and they will find you an adapter to fit. All
places like Wickes and B&Q are good for is for shifting stock at a price. They sometimes have a retired tradesman or someone with a bit of nouse
working in there but most of the time all they are good for is shifting what they happen to have on their shelves whether it's right for you or
not.
