Sylva Striker Design Weights
Hi,
I'm finally at the end of my 2000 Sylva Striker build (yes I know, it's been a long time coming) and wanted to confirm the design weights
for the axles if someone could please help? I have noted down at some point in the past that Axle 1 = 440kg and Axle 2 = 400Kg. I just wondered if
anyone (with a similar vintage car or excellent memory) could confirm the correct weights please?
Thanks,
Knockout

Is this for IVA? just up them to 500 each. Its not a problem if they are few hundred kilos over, but if its under by even a small amount it will fail.

Thanks for the quick replies..
Yes, it's for the IVA (and the new VIN plate which I need to make up)
As I say the car is from 2000. It has the live rear axle so I'm guessing the max permitted weights may differ from the RAW. I take your point
though.
Does anyone have a V5 for a Sylva Steiker?

Here's the weights from my sva certificate.

These weights were with a 1.6 crossflow/4spd box/live axle against a kerb weight of 530kg.
With a zetec/5spd box it is now 560kg kerb weight, and would probably want the axle weights increased to match for iva purposes.

That's great, that matches exactly the figures that I had originally noted down. I thought that maybe I had made a mistake as the max gross
weight of 800Kg doesn't equal the sum of the 2 axles (440kg and 400Kg respectively). But then thinking about it, it doesn't have to, as
they are 2 separate (albeit closely related) limitations. My car has a 1700 flow and type 9 box so will hopefully weigh in similarly.
Thanks very much for the info
