Windscreen Frame, Alloy Profile, Striker
can anybody tell me the type of profile sylva used to manufacture the windscreen-surround?
i want to manufacture a speedster screen and therefore need just the sides of the screen surround.
so would be a shame buying a complete surround and immediately "destroy" (cut) it.

exactly... and thats the reason i asked...i need the measurements of this u-profile.
the kit from RAW looks interesting.....but considering that i get the makrolon free of charge and hardly have to pay anything for the aluprofile (if i
would know the size)....plus shipping abroad.....makes no real sense at the end of the day.

Wouldn't the ally profile used depend on the thickness of Makrolon you decide to use?

as far as i remember (i dont have the car with me at the moemnt) the profile must be slided downwards into a gap given by the construction of the
car.
so the tickness of the markolon cannot be freely choosen

The windscreen surround on my Striker is made from U-section channel which is 3/4 inch wide x 3/4 inch tall (outside dimensions).
The metal thickness is 1/8 inch on all three sides.
Bought the kit from Sylva back in 1995.
