Rollling Road on Wednesday... have i forgot anything?
Major Stare - 29/4/11 at 08:34 PM

I have the Westfield R1 (5PW) booked in for a Power Commander and Rolling road with Russ at TorqueTune on Wednesday.

I have made a note of the following.

Full tank of Super Unleaded.
Tyres at same pressure.
Oil topped up with spare oil.
Cooling fan working.

Im also taking an extra set of trumpets for the stock air box (2x long, 2x short).

Anything else i need?

Im secretly cr@pping myself incase it goes bang !

Are you going to do a power run with the std trumpets and the new (graves?) trumpets. Keep us posted with the results

more fuel!

Its a 5PW with tuned primary's into 4-2-1 and race can, with an R1 airbox, K&N panel filter and 4x trumpets the same length.

Im fitting the PC and getting the engine settup (I think its running slightly ritch at the moment)... im interested to see torque and bhp, if I have time i'll swap the trumpets and compare the power runs.

Why super unleaded, will you always run it on that?

No, use less fuel, if its lighter that will increase the BHP / Tonne

I had mine on the rollers last week. It sounds great... but also at the same time you cant help thinking that something will go bang!!!

New set of plugs ?

Clean Air filter ?

Check all the coolant hoses and their clips

Only use the grade of fuel that you will usually run it on
Don't use Super unleaded unless your going to use it all the time

I always find a short Prayer helps aswell

With the higher octane, it should reduce the risk of detonation iirc

So if it's being RR set up then surely that will have t be used always then?

Cheapish tyres on the back. I had to stop a RR session last year when the 888's started to melt.

wouldnt map it on 97 tbh. if your out on a run low on fuel and the nearest garage has only got 95 then your in trouble as you risk killing it.

your better off mapping it on 95 then just running it on 97 after to be extra safe
