What are people using as windscreens for their middy projects?
I had origionally thought that the Elise/Exige screen would be nice as its extra thin(Light)...But its expensive and hard to get hold of...
only thing is curve that would give the sidescreens
I've seen lancia stratos glass used on here.
Generally you need to design the car to some available glass otherwise you're in for a shock if you need some custom made.
What shape are you planning.
You could make it fit to any shape as long as it was thin enough i guess.
Id be looking at Fiat Pandas, Cinquecentos, suzuki swift - anything that is particularly narrow.
If you could find a modern ford that is narrow enough you might be very lucky and find the ford quickclear wires embedded in the glass.
You dont see many intact windscreens at breakers though!

Do you know what it was used on? We looked into a design using a stratos windscreen. They are available from Omicron Engineering and were £325 +VAT last year.
Thanks for that iank. Here is a picture my son did of a locost with a Stratos Windscreen. He says he knows it wouldn't work.
Edit to say: How colourfull is this post

I believe the GTM LIBRA uses the Fiat Cinquecento/Seicento windscreen.
I have no idea about the prices in the UK, but in Italy it's about 200 Euro's or 140 Pounds....
I do like the Stratos windscreen though.....
