Wow... the chassis is a work of art...

Mr Whippy - 23/1/08 at 09:04 PM

hmm that's what I was thinking, looks very well made

Joe T - 24/1/08 at 07:39 AM

The chassis was made by RCR in the US, welded ally monocoque.

The welding is very impressive.

All the suspension arms and uprights are billet.

Dont you just love kit car porn

nick205 - 24/1/08 at 10:58 AM

oh bugger.....where's the tissue

Not so locost though!

Joe T - 26/1/08 at 09:39 AM

Thanks for the comments , I went for the RCR chassis just because its really in a league of its own.

Must be about 7 cars over here now, mostly GT40's, 1 Lola 3B, 1 Jag XJ13, surprised no ones had a 917 yet though.

Confused but excited. - 29/2/08 at 04:43 PM

Ah, all of a sudden everybody likes alloy chassis now eh?
Stunning car though.

Joe T - 2/3/08 at 02:50 PM

Mmm the old Ally Mono versus Steel Spaceframe debate eh.

Well the RCR chassis is no lightweight, its designed to take serious stress so not much lighter than an equivelent spaceframe, some have 750 BHP motors in them.
