Recommend a rad for c20xe for track use?
mcg - 30/8/16 at 10:04 PM

Following a previous thread on cooling issues on my xe I am looking for a new radiator to replace the polo one I currently have. Can anyone recommend one to go for please? Car will be used on the track.

Thanks in advance.

I had cooling issues using a polo rad with my pinto. Changed the rad for an alloy 3 row job made for a civic/integra. Dimensions were similar but the core is twice as thick. Electric fan put on the engine side of rad to suck air through. 87c - 82c switch mounted in the top hose. All works well, temp needle near 90c all the time even in traffic.

I've been running one of these for the last 18 months with no issue, including some track time and two trips to the Black Forest. However, it only fits in mine at a sloping angle. My next rad, and I'm sure I'll need one some day, would be a thick-ish Polo style rad from http://www.coolexperts.co.uk/motor-vehicle/
