Been away

Been away bought a Porsche 996 loads of trouble bought a lotus Europa but didn't like it, now looking for a kit car again seen a Westfield race car but it's not road registered bit worried that sva test might be just too difficult to get through any advise would be very welcome cheers

You have been away, in the meantime IVA has replaced SVA and is more stringent and more expensive. However, if you download the IVA manual you can see where the pitfalls might be, light position, seatbelt anchor point, seats need a headrest, fog lamp circuit, internal and external body radii, emission etc. But it is Westfield so a call to them with model and year should give you some pointers.

Welcome back - out of interest what was the 996 trouble? Been reading about these but kinda scared off by stories of engine issues particularly IMS bearing and worn liners.

Porsche 996

Cam follower was sized which burnt a valve when engine was stripped bores were scored then water pump went these cars suffer from lots of issues not Porsches best work

You mentioned a Westfield 'Racecar' ?

If you want a Westfield and plan to use it on the road make sure it has a road chassis and not a race chassis...
