11.81 sec fastest run, 127MPH terminal. Not too bad, won the class and 8th overall.
These are the times from the data logger
I beat the BAC Mono in my class, as well as a Caterham 620R driven by Scott Mansell, Aventedor Roadster, Ferrari F40 and another Sylva Phoenix with a
cossie engine running 480BHP (!). Great day....when else do you get to do 130MPH on Brighton Seafront

Great job mate, she sounds like a beast!
One observation from an amateur if you don't mind, it sounds like you could gain a lot of time on gear changes. You seem to be very gentle
feeding in the power after each change. I can understand you might be traction limited at times so maybe I'm talking bollocks. I'm also
not familiar with your car and setup.
Anyway, you did a great job and richly deserve the class win. Nice one!
Actually, looking at your throttle trace, maybe it's just the 'charger spinning up fully after each change. Although it's a
supercharger right? not sure why that would need to spool up.

You only get three runs and I had mucked up the first practise run with not getting 2nd gear and ended up with a 12.67. This 11.81 was the first
timed so I was trying to be a little careful and get a time on the board. The box is a BGH Type 9 synchro so you have to be careful not to
'beat the box' with the speed of your changes. Certainly a dog box or a seqential in the car would cut a good second off the time as you
would be able to flatshift. I tried a bit harder on the 3rd run but got slightly too much wheel spin and ended up with a 11.91 sec.
I didn't think it was too bad for my first ever 1/4mile drag event. I was chuffed to beat the works Caterham 620R (Scott Mansell did a 12.2 I
think) and the BAC Mono which was next to me in the paddock (12.5 best time). There was a 480BHP Cossie engined early Phoenix there driven by a guy
who has done a lot of 1/4 mile runs/competition and he was in the 12sec bracket.
So yes, chuffed. I was only 0.3 secs off playing with the big boys in the top 6 shoot-out.
Official results. I was actually 129 on the first timed and 130 on the 2nd over the line. pretty much in the mix for fastest terminal in the
roadgoing which is amazing really.
and I was 12MPH faster across the line than the new £50K Caterham 620R with the sequential box and 15MPH faster than he £110K BAC Mono. All of which
has made my day lol
