I would say it was labelled as a "locost" during the DVLA registration amesty. I had the same problem with a previous car I owned, filled
in a form and got sent a new logbook with the correct details on.

With older (pre-SVA) builds, the tax-exempt thing on some registrations was a bit haphazard...

Yep, my thoughts as well. The tax exempt then comes from the original registration age, regardless of how old the car actually is.
