Zetc Sump
Daft question, can you fit a fiesta sump to a 1.8 Zetec silver top , as they look quite shallow?

Yes you can. I assume you mean the MK3 fiesta Zetec sump 
I built a 2.0 fiesta mk3 a while back, recycled the 1.6 sump and had no problems with oil supply whatsoever.
You need to change the oil pick-up pipe over too otherwise it wont fit.

Interesting, how much smaller is the sump? Mine is 170mm from the gasket line at the bottom of the block.
