WANTED: 1 single +90 thou Xflow piston
got my engine stripped and some numpty has drilled a hole into the sidewall on 1 of my pistons between the top of the crown and the top piston ring.
And the best of it, it has only done 2 sessions running and they were brand new when I gave them to my builder!!!!!
Anyhow, can somebody please help? I am meant to be testing in 2 weeks

You will also need to know or tell people what grade of gudgeon pin is fitted (this is denoted, or was denoted by a colour marked on the under side of
the piston on one of the pin journals.) The pins are sized for the piston and the little end bearing should have been sized for the pin when the
bearing was ( I hope it was ) replaced.
Oh and is it a flat piston (slight chambering, no valve pockets on land ) or a deep chamber with valve pockets.

Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

1100, 1300 or 1600 pistons?
I have a set of brand new 1300 pistons and rings (I'm 95% sure they are +90) that were to go into my Striker engine (until I found out it had
liners ), but I'd rather not break up a set...

Ok mate, no worries. I understand. I might be interested in them anyhow as I am having a spare engine built. Could you please send me a price via

If the hole isn't too large just get it tig-welded back up, and then fine emery it back to size.
I had some Cosworth forged x-flow pistons welded a few years ago after they developed cracks between the valve cut-out and the crown sidewall. No
problem.
Cheers Chris.
