Any chance from anyone to take some pictures of the Indy front suspension? I am particularly interested to see the position of the wishbones and steering rack in relation to the front section of the chassis. Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot guys. I am going to build an antiroll bar kit for a friend's MK, that's why i asked for pics. My friend's car is 200kms away though..

Mainly setup fine tuning. The antiroll bars will be adjustable in some positions, so we will be able to alter the roll resistance distribution between front and rear, thus to play with weight transfers to the outer wheels. This will help to play with understeer/oversteer thingies.

Before you even think about playing with weight transfer. You will be wanting to get a set of dampers specially valved to actually work in that aplication.

Matt, thanks for your suggestions. Actually we are going to test the car after we fit the antiroll bars, and certainly we will also change the shocks or revalve them according to requirements. Maybe we will need your services as i see that you have a shock dyno which will prove valuable for us.
My friend's Indy has normal Protech ccoilovers. We will certainly need some professional to test them and revalve them. Can you revalve our Protech shocks? Thanks!

Could anyone supply the following data:

1) Front weight / rear weight for the average bike engined MK Indy

2) Weight of unsprung components front/rear
Thsi would be the sum of rims, tires, hubs, uprights, brake components, wishbones. Let's take an average weight for the wheels (rims, tires)

3) Height of suspension roll center front / rear

4) Spung mass CoG front / rear

5) Wheel movement / Spring movement ratio

I know that some of these are a bit hard to know but i will really appreciate if you could give me some of the above data. Thanks!

Anyone could measure the distance from damper to damper at the lower bolts points?

Another question:

Could anyone (Hellfire maybe?) measure the distance (clearance) between the lower bolt (front side) of the front damper and the steering link in front of it?

Distance between the bolt and the steering arm is 70mm +/- 2mm (The steering extensions don't run parallel with the head of the bolt) This measurement reduces to 50mm on full lock (Just in case you need to know)

Could you also measure the distance from damper to damper (opposite side) at the lower bolt points?
And a last question, what is the distance from the lower damper bolt to the top wishbone, as shown by the green arrow? Thanks a million times!

The measurement between lower damper mounts is 1040mm c/c. Clearance between steering arm and upper wishbone is approx 125mm.

The last thing i would like is a picture with the nosecone off, so i can see where i can mount the antiroll bar. Probably the radiator is a problem there so i need a picture with the nose off.

Here is a pic of mine, shows the radiator mounting, but the radiator is not attached, it mounts on the front of the frame. Hopefully this should give you a good idea of the location and still show the chassis.
