Hello,
Can anybody clarify exactly what is needed on the manufacturers plate?
From the IVA manual I understand it needs:
Manufacturers Name
VIN
Axle Weights
Is it the design weight or the actual weight?
Thanks
David
design weights for axle 1, 2 and total.
Thanks!
I know someone who passed at Leighton Buzzard a couple of weeks ago with no weights on his manufacturer's plate.
Still best to put them on, though.
Tiger told me not to put them on my plate for IVA - which I'm a bit worried about but think this is what they do?
I'm not going for IVA until Spring so still a little time to ponder/get feedback/worry!
passed mine at nottingham with no weights, i am sure if you read the IVA it doesnt say that you need them see section 3.

Statutory Plates 18
mine passed with
name of manufacturer
and
vin number
I,v just bought a manufacturers plate from MK and it,s only got the vin No and Manufacturers Name
Its interesting, because the manual doesnt mention the weights as being manditory, although the example it gives does list them.
However at least one personhas failed for not having them.
I recently got a "plate" from MK when picking up my bodywork. Its just a silver sticker with MK's details on and then a Chassis number
at the bottom. They told me to stick it to a square of ali and rivet it on. So I am hoping that is sufficient along with one or two welded on stamped
chassis plates.

Mine didn't have the weights on the plate and it passed. He did recommend they go as as it makes life easier if you are stopped and asked by
BiB.
