I'm looking at getting my first BEC kitcar.I've seen this one on e bay and was wondering if anyone knows the car.
MNR Vortx rt+ CBR Fireblade 2008
Just a bit concerned in that in 6 years it shows on a HPI as having had 6 owners !!
Don't know it but that would set alarm bells ringing with me too.
This car used to belong to hopsky1, very quick car around Lydden Hill
I always thought it was a shame that hopsky sold this car, but he enjoys improving/working on the car's to get quicker lap times out of them and
this type of car are quick out of the box.
A nice car though from what I can remember
Looks like a lot of car for the money. Remember a lot of people buy these cars only to realise that it is not for them. I am on my third car in 3
years and wish I had kept the first one I sold. If it is what you want and it is as described and this is what you want and you want to keep it then
go for it and do not worry about past owners as you will want to make it your own anyway.

6 owners wouldn't worry me too much, spec and condition are more important factors. Personally i would consider the engine
in any BEC as a consumable, worth taking into consideration if you're not handy with the spanners. Looks like a nice car for the money, obviously
had a few quid chucked at it.

I wouldn't worry either about number of owners. These things are toys don't forget. Folk need to scratch an itch, and after a year that itch
has changed so they sell it to fund the next toy.

p.s I wouldn't let the amount of owners put you off because I hated my bec car for the first 6 - 8 months but now I've got used to its
quirks I love it.
I'd imagine its the same for most people when they first drive a bike powered car for the first time
Does it not belong to Gary? Gaz gaz on here!
BEC's you love em or hate em
6 people could live with the all out nature
You as an ex biker may find it tolerable
But again you might like a bit more torque
My CEC will rev to 7500 the other engine to 8000 so they make a right racket at top revs but I can cruise at 3k
Looks a good buy.
Must concur on the grey, looks great on that car.
cheers for putting my mind at rest guys...........i've sent the seller an email
I don't know about the car, but looking at the background in the pictures, Maidenhead has changed a lot since the last time that I was there
Well went down to see this car today.
My first ever time in a BEC kit car......and it has definately made my mind up that i will be getting one now.
The owner Gary answered all my dumb newbie questions...great guy.
Unfortunately, the bank manager (the Mrs ) wasn't as convinced as me so it's back to the drawing board to find a car.
Still trying to change her mind as defo want the car,but from years of losing many arguements with "the boss" i don't hold out much
hope
