Solidworks surfacing help

Hey Guys,

Does anyone else have a clue how to mirror surfaces in solidworks?

Im currently messing around doing some car bodies and have started by modelling one side of the car, with the plan to mirror the surface in the right plane after ive done the side but i cant work out how to do it.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Mikkel

Yep,

you want to insert Pattern => Mirror

Then under features to mirror, select your surface, and if you want to join them together into one, tick "Knit Surfaces"

Please let me know if that is nonsense as I'm working from memory

Ive tried the mirror feature and it doesnt seem to work, it just says can not be mirrored or similar.
I wont be able to get on solidworks again til monday to try it out however.

You need to ensure you select 'bodies to mirror' and not 'faces' or 'features' to mirror.

In the 'mirror' tool, there's a 'bodies to mirror' drop down that allows you to select the surfaces.
