Hi, it's good to meet you all. My name's Gareth and I'm planning to build a car from scratch. I'm therefore hoping this website will allow me to meet like-minded, positive, ambitious and innovative people! Furthermore, if you require automotive styling for your project, please feel free to get in touch as I'm a qualified Vehicle Designer/Stylist and would be happy to help should I have the time. Kind regards, Gareth
As I said, I intend to design and build a car from scratch. What I have in mind is an innovative single-seater track car. I am currently designing the chassis, which is predominantly bespoke. As soon as I've completed the technical drawings I'll post them for feedback!
Welcome & good luck!
Welcome to the forum, good luck with the build and I look forward to seeing your progress.
Welcome
Some knowledgeable and helpful folks on here
Good luck with your build
Welcome, always good to have new blood & new perspectives.
You may be aware of the T89 single seater design on here, which I think is fairly competitively priced
Is this to be modern or retro design? & using what running gear?
Welcome to the forum.
When you say "track car" do you intend it for racing or trackdays? If trackdays then you might want to rethink the design as nearly all
trackday organisers don't allow single seaters to take part.
I don't think the restriction is on single seaters per se, I thought it was on open wheels?

Open wheels aren't allowed either (as Russ says) but most track days have banned single seaters as well. You could do "test days" but you'd need an race licence to do those.

I'd just check with the track day organisers you tend to use.
Garath how is your build going ?
