internet advice needed mifi ?

im moving house shortly and will only get 2mbps max bt line so ,i was thinking i could buy this
HUAWEI E586 Wireless Modem HSPA+ 21mbps MIFI / WIFI | eBay

and get this

to use the sim card in the HUAWEI-E586-Wireless-Modem ,will this work ?
is there any other way of doing it i use around 1-2gb per day at the moment.

Mifi is great, works really well and generally 3's 3G coverage is good too. However if you're really d/l that every day ( that's a lot for an average user if YouTube, Facebook etc...) then I'd say portable broadband is not for you!

They have a policy against file sharing if that's some of your gigs of data. They apparently do throttle and restrict these users. You'll get a much better speed from a fixed line product, even with 2mb I think. Have you tried all suppliers of bb to see all speeds offered? Cable a possibility?

There was some info on this on the BBC Click program la couple of weeks back

They can differentiate between dongle internet use and smart phone internet use and can tell if you connect by tethering your PC to a smart phone. In other words they make the rules you are really between a rock and a hard place.

Use the fixed line. I use their mobile thing a lot and rarely get above 2meg
