Hi All.
Pretty much brand new to this. (Had an MK Indy r 3 weeks)
So the fuel Guage isn't showing anything. The engine is a K3 I believe and the new fuel pump is from a later model. All the wires are secure etc
but still nothing.
Could this be due to not having a k3 pump to match the engine?
Thanks in advance.
Nick.

K13JOB - great post count average!
Nice one Angus.
Nick, Are you using a K3 bike clocks?
Are you sure that the pump still has the fuel level sender attached?
Couldn't say for sure there are 4 wires from the bottom of the pump connected to the car. It's using the original clocks I believe as
supplied to the chap who built it by Yorkshire engines.
Is there an in tank float jobby that could be stuck?
Cheers.
I could be wrong - but I thought the GSXR1000 only has a low fuel level light not a contents gauge.
Ahhh I see if this is the case that would be a simple explanation. Il have a dig about and see what I can find... If any one knows this for sure
please let me know
Cheers
I should of searched this on google bikes rarely have fuel gauges :-/
it will only have a low fuel light unless a separate float and gauge has been installed. I just fill up whenever I can, I haven't seen the light
come on yet!
did you buy Ben's yellow indy?
gsxr1000 pumps include a couple of thermistors (temperature sensors) that are used to detect when the fuel level is low.
I know this sounds unlikely. I don't know how the ECU uses the information from the sensors.
Hi Guys.
thanks for the reply.
Sloan yes we certainly did do you know the car.
cheers.
