Hayabusa turbo

Have a problem with the clutch slipping when on boost.
I have heavy duty springs fitted and only running 5psi.
Before turbo it behaved fine. Just wondering if I need new plates although the current ones only have 3 tho miles on them.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You will most likely need a lock up clutch.

The extra power on boost over standard power is too much for the clutch.

Something like this;

You'll also need to modify/spacer the clutch cover so it will fit.

Just joined and saw your post. Another option is NLR Boost Compensating Lock Up Clutch.

Expensive as heck though I'd think it's the perfect application.

Thanks

I fixed it with a set of new original clutch plates. Now running 7psi with no problems.
Cheers Peter

I think it could be on borrowed time though

Kinda pointless fitting the turbo then
Last clutch only managed 3K when it was NA so how long will it last with boost?
