Just back from getting my Wunoff exhaust welded up again after another crack appeared. It splits where the input pipe enters the front of the silencer and I'm wondering whether to ditch the front hanger. The front hanger is a threaded pice of metal secured to the bottom of the car's chassis between a piece of exhaust strap rubber. It is fitted at the rear on a bobbin but I fear that because it is mounted again at the front of the silencer there isn't enough movement causing a weak point at the front and subsequent cracking. The engine mounts are nearly new and there isn't too much movement of the engine. Should I just ditch the front silencer hanger or just put up with having to get the crack welded once a year?

Only have the rear hanger on mine and never had any problems. Ditch the front one.

Same here. Keep the bobbin in good shape though, as when it breaks, you have a bigger problem (ask me how I know)

Middle hanger....ditched! I'm hoping that the rear bobbin will now absorb all the vibrations from the engine and that the weld at the front of the silencer will now be less stressed.
