So my 1996 Ginetta G27 that was flooded in cockermouth in 2009, then purchased by me nearly 5 years ago, and slowly rebuilt has hit another milestone
today.
It rolled out of the garage this morning, to be taken away for its Megasquirt tune up.
If all goes well, its onto a suspension setup then MOT.

Just had mine on the RR with twin 40 webers ;-) rather than your TBs
No idea tbh, its a 50quid ebay special engine with some 2litre cams in it so I've seen figures quoted between 150 and 170. If it makes the lower
end of that range i'll be happy (for now).
My engine was re-built by Ginetta when the car was originally built with some peaky Kent cams and much to my surprise it pushed out 178 at the
flywheel from a recently calibrated RR (I was a bit sceptical).
The roll cage does look pretty neat... it would be great to get something similar in mine without the fwd strut... currently I have nothing!
So my MOT is booked for next Saturday... this weekend was meant to be for last minute tinkering & tidying etc.
While I got a lot done my to do list is now bigger than it was on Friday... Biggest PITA is after spending 2hours bleeding brakes i found that the
brake light switch is duff... its going to be a busy week again.
So today was its maiden voyage for 12miles to the MOT station. I'm pleased to report a clean bill of health. So for the first time in 8 years
the car is road legal. I'm a happy camper.
Found a couple of minor issues on route one being a slight oil leak from a union and the interior mirror is loose. I'll take that as a success.
After a little more testing it appears my crownwheel is a 'little' worn. Should collect replacement this weekend, and if mr postie
delivers new wheel bearings too by the weekend I should be going again by the end of the Bank Holiday.
Fast forward to now, the axle has had new 'bolt on hub' style rear half shafts, the engine has been out to change some gaskets, replace
the clutch release bearing, a new exhaust and numerous little tweeks as you do. What do you think?
