Hi,I'm (and my 3 sons) are about to start to build our Locost and we thought that we should join the Locost builders forum for advice, help and tips on any problems we might come across. I've restored a few classic cars. but have never built a kit car.
So any tips that anybody can give would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
Simoon

Welcome to the forum (invaluable source of knowledge and help) and to the world of Locosts.

If you add your location to your profile you may find some other local builders willing to help or even take you for a spin.

Welcome to the forum...
I think the best advice I can give is don´t try to have too many belts and whistles and deviate from the original.
Simple makes easy and easy leads to completed car faster...
My 2 cents.
(Don´t ask how I know)

Welcome.
There is nothing you won't find here.
Have patience and use the search function.
Have a good look round
Have an idea what you want to achieve and a timescale.
Theres no shame in buying a chassis/body kit and saving a year
Do not ask whether a bike engine is suitable for road use ]

Enjoy it

Hi.
We are going to build it from scratch using the Haynes book as our guide.I'm in Bracknell Berkshire if there is anybody local who would be willing for us to have a look at their one.We a looking at only a small capacity engine for starters (1100cc crossflow) just to get us started.
I was going to order the steel from Metals 4 u,Any thoughts?
Thank you
Simoon
