Have you used stainless steel bolts holding the wheel on?
Think I would rather have some hi tensile ones tbh, stainless is not very strong.

Really good point actually, I went like for like so I’m gonna check, if not I’m gonna swap them 👍

I get it, but if you are near the break point of the stainless steel bolts you have bigger problems...
At least in this application.
And to Petrol Diaries,
Permanent marker could have resolved the shiny edges without spending any more $$....
On the other side, the grommet thingies loog very good.
Keep them coming...
Beware of what you wish.. for it may come true....

As above, your not going to be in a good place if your shearing 6 m6 bolts even if there low tensile.

A2-70 isn't totally useless - the 70 make them equivalent tensile strength to 7.* bolt (the A2 being corrosion equivalent to 304 stainless)
not that that makes them ideal - its still generally not a bad idea to avoid stainless on any safety critical points
my bigger concern would be that the countersunk holes could allow just a little extra slop, and the washers don't have anything to stop them
sliding to make up for this except friction which can only come from the torque in the bolts which can't be too high given that they are
stainless bolts into an alloy boss... (call me paranoid but I wouldn't be happy with that on my car)
also a bit late for you, but I never thought I'd be able to say this - ypu can get thoes washers cheaper on demon tweeks

Better safe than sorry
Stainless fittings should not be used on any steering/suspension mounting IMO

I agree it’s not good engineering practice but I think the alloy washer cups over the counter sinks is worse.
