Protestors wasting their and everyone else's time
Typical boring 'people' causing annoyance. Real reason they are there is to bond with others of their sort.

I did smile earlier when watching the lunch time news. There was some numpty chanting anti-capitalist "stuff" whilst holding a costa
coffee and a Nikon camera hanging round his neck
Imagine what it would be like if there were no hypothetical situations.

I've no problem with them really, free speach and all that (they didn't bother me when the G8 was on, I was just down the road, drunk, in
a field watching some decent music at the time )
but I know what you mean - its all the hangers on and people who just like to complain to get attention that come with the genuine protests
these are the same people with nothing better to do than make pointless complaints like this one:

I agree about peaceful protest being a way of making a point, but I can't understand why the so-called anti-globalisation anti-climate change
protesters have flown in from all over the world, including Latin America, etc.? Pot, kettle black?

my entire generation is awash with apathy.
This country just let an unelected prime minister just walk into office.
A little bit of protest makes me think all is not lost, even if I dont agree.

we don't elect prime ministers, we elect parties to govern us and they appoint the best person amongst them to do the job
though none of them seem to be that good..........

I could not disagree more. Parties rise and fall to power almost entirely based on the party leader. Otherwise the country would quickly centre its
political compass and there wouldnt be the fluctuations between labour/conservatives/lib dem (to a lesser extent) every election time.

More power to the protestors
I don't agree with them but many people have died to protect their right to free speach - so good luck to them, even if there is a bit of
violence

Somebody has got to make a statement.
I am English, and the politicians took MY country away from me!!
I protested every chance I had, but they pulled the carpet away from under my feet.
AND, if it gets back to howe it was, although I think it is impossibel, I shall return.

You right to disagree bud but like it or not we do NOT elect Prime ministers. When you cast a vote you do so for a local polotician, so it may be that
your local vote is for the leader of a party and if that party wins then he/she becomes the leader of the country as well. However the original
statement is fact.
I understand what your saying but the fact remains that no Prime Minister in recent history has been directly voted into the position by the masses.
If its broke, fix it. If it aint broke, take it apart and find out how it works!

I think that we should vote the person rather than the party, I don't agree that Brown should've just walked in.

Personally I couldn't really give a monkey's about the protesting one way or the other. What got me though, I was watching BBC news, and
the first thing that Captain America Obama was chatting about was the fact they would not rest until the terrorists were sorted out!
What the hell has that got to do with climate change???
On second thought though, I suppose if the terrorists start another world war then we may see some global warming
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

This country needs a kick up the arse and there's no better way than a chant filled bottle throwing protest. It's our right, and has been
for hundred of years.
If the police state didn't bail in there wouldn't be very much violence.
It's time we all had the balls to stand up and shout and chuck things. Poll tax riots burned much of Trafalgar Square down and they
listened..
And don't tell me voting is a better way cause all you pathetic twisters don't even vote!
Now, lets talk about building cars please...
