AAARGH lost my donor log book

Had the house upside down this morning to find the slip from when i scrapped my donor vehicle, and its gone Do i actually need the registration from it or is it good enough that they are Sierra bits and they stopped making them at a certain year to get an age related plate?
Anyone got a logbook for sale

Do you have pics of the donor when complete and as you dismantled then scrapped it?
Couple those with build pics and you may have a case.
Also depends on whether you registered as the owner before scrapping it.
HTH.

I was the registered owner for 3 days, then scrapped it when the mot ran out. Ive looked for photos too as theyd have the number plate on, but with no luck. Is that it then, Q plate?

Hi,

I scrapped my Sierra and when I went for the DVLA inspection I took the letter from the DVLA regarding the scrapped Sierra and I ended up with an age related number plate.

Regards

Bob

Q plate isn't all bad news. When it reaches MOT stage (3 yrs down the road) they can only test it visually for emissions.

Q plate may not be all bad but it means I cant put the personal plate on it that i want.

Not happy just spoken to the examiner and she is saying based on what we have submitted ie photocopy of V5 it will be a Q plate all because of wrong advise by DVLA swansea

Maybe if I take pics of us stripping the donor from website I can get age related

I went to the DVLA today having passed my SVA on Tuesday. Same as bbwales, they were happy with copies of V5 plus letter from DVLA saying donor car(s) had been scrapped. My inspection is Monday and I should be going on an age related plate.
Should add that I had proof it had been sorned but they didn't ask for that.

well just been for my inspection examiner was very nice and explained that she needed to speak to her policy department.

There was even a film crew there recording her for a civil service website so Tango will be on their website.

Gave her a load of photos showing me taking the engine out of the donor and more

so we will just have to wait for her call
