I met him a few times about 10 years ago. Even played against him at pool when he was training for the Mosconi cup one time. He was quite a funny guy
but a bit mixed up. RIP defo applies.

Funny old world isn't it?
When he was alive, he was an obnoxious p1ss artist.
Now he's that he is dead, he's become 'entertaining', a 'great character'.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Maybe so CBE ... but he turned a sport that was an insomniacs delight, to an exciting and watchable game......and in doing so, encouraged loads of
youngsters off the street to play the game.....
And pi$$ed or not, obnoxious or not....
Boy o boy could he play snooker ...I loved watching him play......

I watched him play Tony Knowles live many moons ago, I spoke to him in the toilets surprised how big he was (tall ) he was half cooked then
also.
Had a great belly laugh though, never forget it, it was deadly silent during the game, some one let such a fart rip and everyone was trying not to
lol, you kept looking down to get control of yourself but every time you looked up the guy in front shoulders where going as he was trying to contain
his laughter also which set you off again, guess you had to be there, top fart......
