making a jig to square a build of a book locost with an escort live drive axle and cortina hubs.

any of you guys have a note, or a measurement, of the wheelbase of a standard book built car?

thanks in advance

I'm glad you're here Ewan.

Makes my five year rebuild of a sylva look not too bad

astonishing

thanks for the reply, i had read a few bits of ron's book and guessed that it was 2370mm, i didn't have the axle tube size , hence the guess.

thanks

Ewan

oi! zilspeed play fair

i can think of lots of reasons why the build has stalled.

all the same, point taken.

I know that i have to start building and stop fiddleing with the car, last year saw it with brakes, steering, suspension, engine, gearbox, pedals etc. Then i lost a bit of confidence in the build and decided that i would rose joint everything and alter the wishbone settings, current state is a bare frame with no rear tie bar mounts and all of the wishbone mounts removed, engine on the floor et.c.

so like i said, i have to stop mucking about with it and just get on with the build. Keep the jibes coming it'll spur me on.
