Handbrake options
I have had the Sierra one fitted and kept banging my elbow, so now I'm looking for alternatives eg something under the dash. Any idea's

Look at fitting a MG Midget handbrake in the passengers side.

Why not use the sierra on in the passenger area. That's what I did... works nicely.

Older Jag's had them under the dash pull it up to hold the wheels then pull and let go to very neat and can be fitted down the side of the seat

Metros had a nice compact hand brake lever I used one on mine, easily mounted with 2 bolts and the cable is a single barrel nipple type connection.

Mount the Hbrake lower/underneath the existing mounts?
Follow the Hbrake shortening guide by metal hippy or someone else?
Do away with it altogether like I did!

I mounted mine vertically, level with the dash:
I made a reversing linkage so that I could run the cable out of the front, rather than the back:

Hi, does anybody know if the front handbrake cable for dax is dax manufactured or is taken (or look like) from some other car?
