Travel insurance
Evening all,
Another question for the collective knowledge that is locost builders.
Buying plane tickets with a credit card. As I understand it, if the flights is cancelled I should be able to claim money back from the credit card
company. Is this right?
Would it also cover tickets bought for someone else bought on my card if I wasn't travelling with them?
Lastly are there any insurance policies which cover flight cancellation?
Thanks,

I would have thought ,if the flight is cancelled, the airline will refund the cost no need to claim off your credit card (Unless the airline
won't pay up). I don't think it would matter who you bought the tickets for

I think first off it's the airline you should be chasing. If they don;t play ball, then go to the credit card company.
Not 100% sure, but I think if what you bought on the card was over £100 then they should cough up, whoever you bought it for.

Not if the airline goes broke, credit card is the safest way

Thanks everyone,
Credit card seems to be the best way to protect against everything. Just need to apply now
