ZZR1400 , where can i get ecu unlocked

Have not got the key assembly or barrel. Where can i get the ECU unlocked , or can you buy a 'bypass gissmo' to make the engine run ?

Simplest way (and probably cheapest?) would be to get onto e-Bay.com and buy a USA ZX14 CDI ECU.
The North American version does not have any immobilizer nonsense!
Seems to be quite a few at $150-$250

Failing that contact Mal at Yorkshire engines and see if he has a US spec ECU.

There is a place in norfolk that will either unlock your ecu or provide you an ecu unlocked in part exchange, i cant think of the name and a quick google showed nothing. Give Andy Bates a call, he was the one that put me in touch with them.

I've fitted 3 ZZR1400 engines now, only requirement to get them to run was to put a 100 ohm resistor on the pink wire to the ecu. Is there a more sophisticated immobiliser around?

Only other thing I'm aware of is if you're not using the original speed sensor it won't rev over about 9,000, can't remember exactly what you have to do to get around that, but pretty sure it's come up on here in the past.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
