Personally, if I was after a 911, I'd get one.
Oh wait there are 30 different 911's aren't they?
Depends what he wants really, maybe a few test drives are in order

we went for a test drive in some sports cars this week and he was told to drive slower and not to floor it and slow down or the test drive would be
stoped he never broke the speed limit at any time but the dealer wowas scared he may damage it trying it out.we walked away .350z are very tail happy
when the have a slow puncture as he found out .

Only spend £10K on a 911 unless your budget is £20K
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

A £7k Boxster and a £3k slush fund.
Ten grand buys feck all 911 worth actually having.
It'll be worn smooth, at best.
Autotrader currently has 6 under 10 grand.
2 are targas - err no.
1 is seriously hacked about in attempt to make it look modern.
Of the remaining 3, two of those are autos.
Looking good.
One car under £10k worth considering.
Oh look, it's got 95,000 miles on it.
Are you still interested ?
There are 469 Boxsters under £10k.
Your call, obviously....

The 996 is starting to get to be around those prices now, witht he earlier models going up a little - I think it's the water cooled, boxter
front end putting people off.
Doesn't put me off though, and next time I'm looking to spend £12-15k on a fun 2nd car (the same amount I paid for my last 2 elises)
I'll be having one. The last elise had to go mainly because it wasn't getting used due to having a family. At least with the 996 the
kids can get in the back.
Failing that, look at the 968 - Club Sport is the one to go for if you can find a good one for the money.
