Personally, if I was after a 911, I'd get one.

Oh wait there are 30 different 911's aren't they?

Depends what he wants really, maybe a few test drives are in order

Only spend £10K on a 911 unless your budget is £20K

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

A £7k Boxster and a £3k slush fund.

Ten grand buys feck all 911 worth actually having.
It'll be worn smooth, at best.

Autotrader currently has 6 under 10 grand.
2 are targas - err no.
1 is seriously hacked about in attempt to make it look modern.

Of the remaining 3, two of those are autos.

Looking good.

One car under £10k worth considering.
Oh look, it's got 95,000 miles on it.

Are you still interested ?

There are 469 Boxsters under £10k.

Your call, obviously....

The 996 is starting to get to be around those prices now, witht he earlier models going up a little - I think it's the water cooled, boxter front end putting people off.

Doesn't put me off though, and next time I'm looking to spend £12-15k on a fun 2nd car (the same amount I paid for my last 2 elises) I'll be having one. The last elise had to go mainly because it wasn't getting used due to having a family. At least with the 996 the kids can get in the back.

Failing that, look at the 968 - Club Sport is the one to go for if you can find a good one for the money.
