Multipoint Door Lock Issue
Hi, all.
Does anyone know any method of rectifying this scenario or is it locksmith time?
I have attempted to lock my front door but accidentally left the key in the other side. This appears to have upset the lock and now I cannot remove
the key unless the door is locked.
Thanks!

Is the key returning to it's normal resting position or stuck at an angle?

The key is vertical, in the 'normal' position.

What type of key and lock ?
If it is a Euro Lock the lock barrel is only held in by one screw from the edge of the door take the barrel out and have a look, it is a 5 minute
job to change the barrel.
If you want to dismantle the 3 point locking mechanism it comes off simply by taking all the screws out of the edge of the door.
If it is a normal old fashioned style key you probable need a new lock, really easy enough if you can find a matching lock.
The multi point mechanism comes off in much the same way as th EuroLock.

If only I was a little closer! I could have popped over as I'm a Locksmith ! If you cannot remove both the keys from the euro cylinder then
I'm afraid it is probably game over for that cylinder. I could u2u some techniques if you need some help that will remove both keys but the lock
will need replacing after this. Euros start about £3.99 at screwfix and go up too £100 depending on what you want to replace it with.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.
It doesn't help I was asking the question on behalf of someone else so didn't have all the detail. I'll check the lock type.
Chris, many thanks for the offer. May u2u tomorrow if that's ok. Not trying anything illegal but wondering if there's a way to
're-set' the lock so it allows the key to be removed once the door has been locked.
