zetec turbo build wat are people using

im building a gbs zero with a blacktop turbo engine. just after afew pointers on what people are using. ecu clutch fkywheel any info would be great thanks jon

I must get mine up and running but the spec is.

St170 bottom end. New rings and bearings.
New Crate sump, water pump.
New crate black top cylinder head with st170 valve springs.
Genuine Ford Rs 1.8mm heavy skim head gasket drops the above to around 9:1 Cr.

This is said and proved several times to be able to hold 300bhp+ with carfull mapping. All with ford parts.

Inlet manifold is focus Rs with Rs 440cc injectors and 2.7 bar Rs fuel reg.

Exhaust mani Is a Direnza tubular stainless Rs eBay manifold modified with a td04 flange.
Turbo is a very low miles Td04.

Keeping inlet temps down will be a charge cooler, full Rs spec.

Manegment is Focus Rs 6myd eecv. With a bluefin stage one map.

Expected power is modest 250~260 bhp.

Basically a budget Rs clone.

Any one want a cheap st170 head complete bar valve springs ? I have a few now.

It's mid engine so I am using the getrag 6 speed and a TTV billet single mass fly and a helix hd 6 puk paddle clutch

I just need an lsd now.

Gearbox is getrag 6 speed as found in the st170/mini as my project is a Midi. Already done the 7 thing.

TTV do five differant billet zetec flys with all sorts of clutch combos. You could re drill a 1.8 for a heavy duty pinto clutch or a 2.0 for a cosworth clutch.

One hundred and one possibility and the only wrong one is the one that won't hold the torque.
