"BarnFind"?? Or neglected/unfinished project? Whichever, it looks like a reasonably sound chassis. Good luck with the build.
That rear alu panel appears, from your pic, to have been unintentionally dented. Will you replace it?
From my own experience get these targets sorted. :-
1: Firmly decide which engine you intend to use. (This will probably involve loadsa measuring; keep dimension records for future reference).
2: Make sure you can get your engine choice sufficiently far enough back in the chassis, to avoid the rear edge of the nosecone.

Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

I am looking into engine options the v6 sound nice and a bit more grunt than the escort 1100 but i would be looking at a doner car for that , what
other motors have people fitted and what is the best to go for ?

I didn't buy a donor Jag, the engines and gearboxes are cheap(at the moment) the clutch is the killer

Manual 3 or 5 series with the biggest M52 engines (2.5 or 2.8) are the ones to go for. Although there's probably no reason why you can't
use the later 3.0 M54 from the Z4 etc
