Cheap CAD - QCad
If anyone is looking for a very cheap 2D CAD system (£15) then take a look at
http://www.trolltech.com/products/hotnew/qcad.html
Seems very capable if you're after creating clean drawings/printouts etc.

That looks pretty good.
The fact it works with DXF format is a bonus, so you can open existing autocad drawings.
i downloaded a program called TinyCad, which is pretty cool.
It was free. There's no need for me to use it though, as I've got AutoCad 2D, and Solidworks 3D!

CADopia's version of Intellicad Standard is also free and is virtually identical to AutoCAD.

CADopia has an evaluation version. But not one that is specifically identified as free. The website does not state what you get with the evalutation
version. Is this the free one you are talking about? The feature set looks pretty good!

Yes, that sounds like it. I haven't looked at it for a while, but AFAIR, it's a fully working unlocked version.
