I have now had 2 sierra master cylinders and they have both leaked from the push rod end. I cannot source new seal kits does any have the same problem or know how to fix it?

Have you fitted a dust boot? Might be grit getting in and soring the cylinder??

I have not had on the road yet to get dust in. They have both leaked straight after bleeding the brakes.

it makes you wonder, doesn;t it?

are they made in China by one armed pandas?

are you doing something wrong or are they both faulty.

obvously they should not leak - definitely not getting fluid dribbing from somewhere else that makes it appear to come from the piston seal end?

is it possible that the push rod is at a bad angle or not central so that it tilts the piston? (don't see how it can but ...)
have you taken them apart to see if there is anything obviousy wrong?

I've had the same problem. The original one from the donor leaked, then another secondhand one from e-bay leaked. I think the rubber seals just perish if they aren't used for while.

I've tried to find new seals but can't, although you can still get new m/c so they must be out there somewhere.

3 second hand and they all leaked, ended up paying £105 New Old stock on ebay.

Might be worth trying Past Parts in Bury St Edmonds. They helped me when I wanted an old Alfa master cylinder repaired when no one else could . Had been quoted £600 plus vat by one guy for a new old stock . Past Parts charged a total of £90 to sleeve and reseal with new pistons.

Were they new or secondhand?

If secondhand, when bleeding you should not depress the pedal futher than it would go in normal use as it damages the seals.

If new, then ignore.

I used a master cylinder off a range rover, £60 brand new, now on Ebay for only £45.

You get three outlets, one for the rear, two for the front and a fluid level cap.
