Had a quick look on-line but struggled to find the CO2 emissions of numerous bikes. Now I know a lot of you only have to do a visual smoke test (set
light to your socks?) for your MOT's; but what are your CO2 scores anyway? I am curious as to what tax bracket you would be in if your car was
registered as a "new" build.
Ta.
You'll presumably be looking at new (EFi with a cat) bikes then because older carb'd engines under new emissions-based regs would be very bad news financially (if it managed to pass emissions testing at all)!!!!
even if registered as new on a 07 plate you would only pay the same as a car under 1500cc as per the old system
ie £115 a year at the current rate

At SVA, our emissions (on a 1995 Carbed Blade engine) were;
CO % = 1.30
HC ppm = 488
These details were not entered on the SVA MAC and are therefore not detailed on the V5C. The engine has since been changed for a ZX12R and our first
MOT is imminent...........
