4 Point harness
Bacon2002 - 10/10/07 at 08:03 PM

Hi,
Does anyone know the rules (for the SVA) in respect of 4 point harnesses.

Would this sort of thing:-

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=330173650281&rd=1 />
be OK to use?

Thanks,

David

Id say No as they dont say that there is an e-mark on them.

Correct buckle style though.

Think I paid about 90 quid for a new pair from MAC#1 about 2 years ago.

For that sort of money is it worth risking your life???

Cheers,
James

£90 ish delivered for a set of Sabelt 4 point harnesses from Lolocost. Correctly marked for SVA, correct buckle type and supplied with mounting bolts.

Don't skimp on this kind of thing!

I've got a set of sabelt 4 points for sale, £45 as they don't have the mounting bolts.

Thanks for the replys,

I asked the seller and these are not e marked.

Basically then they need to be:-

e marked
Have a particular sort of buckle
Come with mounting bolts

Looks like I will save up and look out for a branded set that meet these requirements.

Can anyone recomend a supplier to use?

Thanks,

David

David,

The ones chokymonster is selling will be ideal for you. The bolts are nothing special - an imperial fine thread IIRC and available for a few quid from a good nut and bolt supplier. Although you will need the little stepped spacers that the bolts sit in.
