Digital Dashes - Amazing price!!
T1GER_SUPERCA7 - 2/11/07 at 02:57 PM

Gents,

I am looking for a digital dash for my Tiger Supercat and stumbled across the Vapor digital dash. Originally I was looking at the carbon EvoDash which looks good but at £400+. The vaour, originally designed for trial bikes is £59 from rally design. I have spoken with the manufacturers and it is SVA legal for kit cars.

Has anyone heard of them? Used them? Know anyone that has used them. Sometimes thigs appear cheap but for what reason? Could this be good, honestly priced manufacturing???

Obviously its not the best looking dash on the market but its going to be back mounted to a carbon dash with cutouts.

Any thoughts chaps?

Chris

You might be best off searching for "veypor" silly bleeding spelling

The price looks good until you add th e VAT, then it's the same as everyone else, still with someone like rally design, the service will be great.

Just got mine today from rally design.
Its small but looks ok, I also went for the surround with the 4 lights.
Hope to mount it in the double bubble screen , its that small but wonder if the steering wheel will get in the way of seeing it clearly?

I'm not exactly over the moon with mine and will be replacing it very soon. The rev counter is useless, in fact useless would be a pleasing result from it.
At tick over it ranges from 600 to 1800 and it will sit on the motorway at 70 showing between 12000 and 5000
Still they are cheap, I just wished, rather than gimmicks like ambiant temperature, riding time etc, they gave me a temperature guage that didn't need resetting every time the engine is started (which also resets the trip meter, which with no fuel guage, can be intersting) and a rev counter that counted the revs

mhhh looks liek you have a problem in your connections...

maybe you don't believe me let it be, but.

looks like your starter/alternator gives some crap signals off to the dash.

also the rpm problem can be just noise..
