Just bought these with Toyo T1s (195/50/15).
I know Toyo make good tyres, but has anyone run with these and what are your opinion?

From personal experience i know theyre quite good on tin tops.
From work of mouth I hear theyre only ok on kit cars FWIW
I ran a set on my mac#1 last year and found them to be a good tyre considering the price. I havent been able to compare them to other similar tyres
but i certainly wasnt unhappy with them.
I have heard the T1-s is better than T1-r, but again dont have first hand experience.
For the price id be happy to get another set when the time comes if funds dont allow R888's.

I fitted some late last year (the older of the t1s and t1r whichever that is). I've only been out on greasy winter roads but I don't like them as much as the Pirelli P6000 tyres that came with the rims. I think they're supposed to be better in the dry.

as has been said, they're brilliant on a saloon.
they're a pretty hard compound though, so not much cop for something so light. maybe ok on a hot dry summer day, but are sketchy on cold damp
roads (i had them on my indy when it went for an excursion into a corsa)
if i were to be buying any more tyres, i'd go for yokohama a539's if they're still available.

These are fantastic, and are considered by many as 'The' tire for well driven (street )Mazda MX-5's here in the states. Fantastic in
the dry, not bad in the wet.
I would wonder though if you can get them warm enough in a very light car.

just got a set of four 195/50/15 R888's from tyre traders.com for £58.00 each plus delivery. total came to £240.00 including VAt and delivery. and they arrived in three days of ordering.. top service

As I mainly (so far 100%) do road miles in mine, but in all weathers, would the 888s be suitable? With 15" wheels?

i did a business studies product analasys in school and i had to test the chosen companies products (on the schools money ) so i welded up rig
to test the lateral grip on the tyres and the toyo's came out top each time. this was competing against the goodyear F1's, the Yoko
A048's and the pirelli p-Zero tyres, the toyos were by far the best,
there wasnt too much load on the tyres, only about 100kg so i would have been a good simulator for a lightweight 7 type car

i ran t1s on my last bec great on road and good on track slightly lack ultimate grip but would use them again without any hesitation
