Long shot...

Looking for an all aluminium polo rad or something as equally compact with better cooling than the std polo rad to fit into the front of my GTS.

I could possibly get away with something a couple of inches wider than a polo rad, but no taller.

Any suggestions?

Are there not 2 or 3 variations or the "Polo" rad? some bigger (more cooling/volume) than others.
Or are you after a rad with more cooling than the biggest Polo?
Whilst not ideal you can run 2 rads back to back for more volume and about 1.5 x the cooling of 1 rad on its own, or its one of those bespoke 3 (or more) core ally rads you see for sale on the Rally Design or Burtons sites ££££££

cool thanks.

Also suggestions for cheap suppliers would be good!

This is what you want mmmmmmm......

Im going to be running one of these, they are a bit thicker than a polo rad though, this is what jasper was running in his 300bhp stylus(think that what it was)

Thanks Tom, theres some on ebay from radtec, are those roughly the same size as the polo rad?

The one i have is the smaller one, almost square, from a mk1 1litre iirc

jasper also ran with the std polo rad for a bit before fitting that big one but it was not able to keep the temp down so def dont use the polo one

EDIT:- I can measure the rad for you if you want, just let me know

Berkshire radiators in Reading, also - think you can send them the end pieces and tell them how many cores / how wide you want it. IIRC, the TVR boys use them a lot to improve Chimera cooling

There's a few options in the Westfield store, also..

Rad from a 1.3 Suzuki SJ fit....

i've got a wide polo rad, brand new. £25

flak monkey - 30/11/09 at 08:00 AM

A wide polo rad is a no use to me at all as it wont fit in the nose, and a std one isnt going to offer enough cooling anyway.

I'll have a rummage around the westy store, if not looks like a Caterham one.

Thanks

Radtec do a Polo replacement alloy rad.

Radiator

Not cheap....

flak monkey - 30/11/09 at 12:41 PM

Thanks, they also do a caterham one which is slightly cheaper, and about the right size.
