205 GTI
craig_007 - 1/12/11 at 12:45 PM

A bit of a long shot,

Looking for a 205 GTI, Shell must be straight and not rotten with no paintwork required IE No different coloured panel or rust bubbles.

Not interested in engine as I will be fitting my own one to it.

Ideally located in Scotland.

Thanks

Buy a 309!

Nicer handling machine and a boot big enough to fit a couple of bodies in!

craig_007 - 1/12/11 at 04:28 PM

Haha,

309 is nice motor aswell but 205 it will be plus the fact I can get the use of 3C digger to dispose of any bodies !!!

I've heard about you Fife-folk! My bro' lived in Cupar for while and turned-out on the rugby field for 'the Howe'

I've not got one but I wanted to ask if you'll be posting up on this project when you get it started as tonight at work I recomend my coworker join up here as he wants to put a V6 in a 205 and I reconned people on here would be able to give advice on such a project.

I have a few 205's here....

What age are ye looking for??

Bertie.

P.s, Ive been in a V6 205, pretty impressive once they get up n running....

craig_007 - 4/12/11 at 04:11 PM

Hi There,

I'm not overly bothered about the age. Looking for something with a good solid shell that doesn't need any paintwork. Not bothered about anything else as I intend fitting my MI into it from my own 205

I can imagine a V6 205 being quick, Plenty of torque.

Cheers

Aparantly 155mph is doable with a 3l and ferrari levels of performance.

You got any Gentry's or 1.9 autos by any chance as I wouldn't mind another 205 myself?

They are rapid once they stretch their legs, not lightening off the mark.....

I raced against Paul from the pug clinic's V6 with my 205 turbo.....

I beat him up the 1/4 mile but man did his start pullling going over the finish line...

He took me out in it, i was poopin myself!! Give em a long road.....!!

Yeah i do have a Gentry...

Would need good money to part with it though....

Bertie.

Something like that would do. Very nice.

morcus - 5/12/11 at 09:33 PM

I wish I could say yes, but I couldn't afford to go up there let alone buy it at the moment. Please don't buy a decent Gentry for the shell.
