Terrapin plans
Paul (Notts) - 24/1/09 at 11:57 AM

As one of the starting points for my next project I am tiring to get hold of a set of plans for the Terrapin originally designed by Alan Stanniforth. Any one have a set or now of a link to purchase the book or set of plans …
Cheers

Paul

Can't find anyone that still sells the book (totalkitcar.com used to, but it's not there anymore, and amazon don't even have any at sill money).

There is a forum for them here which is probably your best bet.

"Terrapin_racing" on here is building one.

Until chris's book is launched this one might have useful information, I think some on here have bought it iirc.

You can buy plans from Allan Staniforth himself.

You can also buy the amended plans to include the back end to take a Bike Engine.

I have a brand new copy of High Speed Low Cost (the book you need to go with the plans for the Terrapin) that I was thinking of selling along with another couple of books, so if you are interested in that, then drop me a U2U.

Cheers...

I thought the terrapin book was a great read (i'm definately not selling my copy). I've got the motorbike engined single seater book and wasn't impressed.

I think its a combination of styles and content. The terrapin details different terrapin builds and designs, along with a nice writing style. The bike engined book - i didn't like the style and it didn't have enough detail for me on one car being built, just lots of bits of information.
