Got my act together finally.
CraigJ - 3/2/09 at 06:29 PM

I started building my Onyx Mongoose in early 2007 but drew to a holt in early 2008. Mid way through the year me and my fiancee bought our first house (fuckin skint now lol). we sold our cars to pay the deposit and i sold the engine kit from the mongoose to pay the solicitor. I then picked up a cheap K-series that i promptly sold lol.

I then got a little depressed knowing id not be able to get a decent engine for ages because money was so tight so i put the mongoose up for sale. One evening last week i had a guy come and view it and another ring about it to view it the next night.

After the guy had gone home i went on ebay and had a look at engines (god knows why) and came across a zx10 lol sat a £32 with an hour to go, had a quick word with the other half and got a bid in. an hour later i was £82.77 lighter and had a big smile on my face. i picked up the engine on saturday then cracked on with cleaning out my garage. To put it into prospective you couldn't even see the floor and had to climb over everything to get any where now with 3 old units out the way and 2 days worth of tidying its now a place i can get some work done.

All in all I'm in a very good mood now lol.

Cam fone pics sorry need batts for camera.

Well I'm glad the engine went to one of 'us'

That alfaZIL bloke who bid on it is right dodgy....

I only wanted it as a spare.

Glad you're back on track with the build.

Well done mate, it would have been a shame to get rid of it when you've put so much work in.

Chuffed for you

Cheers

It's no good asking Zil how the car goes! It doesn't (yet!)

Yup, it's in the single seater, I'll nip round one day and have a look at the new diff when it's finished.

Cheers

Chris

It will.
It will.

As if the angle grinder incident wasn't enough, I now have a new ailment holding me back. Equally self inflicted as it turns out.
Since I lost a bit of weight, my kness have a bit less 'padding' on them. This has pinched the peroneal nerve on my left leg leading to numbness on my left foot. I can't lift my left foot and my big toe won't lift at all.
The Doc says it should sort itself, but right now it's a bugger.

I don't want sympathy mind.....
