What's the best thing to do to sell a car at Stonleigh? Do they have a shed where cars for sale are put? Do they charge for this? Do I have to pre-book? Would I be better to park it on a pitch and put a for sale sign on it?
There is a "for sale" shed.... not sure if you have to pay to use it...
Colin, you thinking of selling the MNR?
Cheers

Yes, I'm thinking of selling the MNR. Between the baby and the new project, I don't get left with any time for the MNR.
putting your car in the for sale shed is free.
cheers, another one will be there then
Mine might have to go in there too yet.
Not too much luck at Stoneleigh. More people were interested in how I'd made the doors than wanted to buy it. One guy asked for my details
after we'd had a bit of a chat and a second agreed to take my details with him when I offered them. I'd hoped for a better response even if
I didn't sell it on the day.
Is this typical of selling a car at a show?
I've been offered £2000 and a bag of sweets for it so far.
I suspect people at shows are there to look at what other people have done, kick tyres, gas about kitcars and get inspiration hence the enquiries
about the doors.
There are probably only a very small percentage that go to a show looking to buy a second hand kit.
This is just my opinion
We really need some kind of Locostbuilder ID on our foreheads at these shows.
I was parked down a bit with the Gulf MK but couldn't work out who's car it was.
I had my car up for sale on Saturday, lots of people asking how i had overcome jobs on the Indy, One chap who I thought was very interested turned out
was building an Indy with the same engine/box etc.
I had two people very Interested but no offers as yet.
If i had my car up for sale last year or the year before, I reckon the car would have sold straight away, the current climate isn't good for
selling.
There were a few cars I thought were over priced in the hall this year.
On Monday I didn't bother putting car up for sale, me and Steve used the shed to keep the cars dry
Someone mentioned to me that there was a nice indy in Gulf colours in the day before. People did seem to have noticed your car and liked it.
so how much are you looking for
