I stumbled upon a scanned pdf version of Ron Champion's "Build your own sports car for as little as £250 - and race it!" (second edition). Its a large download (50MB) but at least it is complete and free of errors (other than those committed by the author ).

How many people have now tried to Google it to see if they can find it

Well, that's exactly how I found it Was looking for workshop manuals for Austin Healey 100-6, MGA 1500 and 3.8 S-Type Jag when I got side-tracked and made the "discovery". Downloaded another version about a year ago, but that file was corrupt and essentially unusable.

I found a russian copy on a foreign website somewhere. I then bought a book and scanned it (for my own purposes of course) so that i only had to take the page i needed into the garage.
Thats 50 odd MB as well.
