What's a 2.1 pinto westfield worth, I know someone who's selling it!

A few weeks ago someone was looking at my car but instead bought a 2.1 pinto Westfield. He's since decided that its too slow and wants to sell it to buy a BEC. Like mine. He's emailed me expressing how annoyed he is that he didn't buy a BEC and wants to know if I know anyone who wants a Westfield.

Amusingly, I'd have accepted the price that he paid for it, so he could have had the faster car to start with.

Sounds like he paid over the odds for a boat anchor powered Westy, unless it was a particularly nice one.

Do you think that if you had offered your car at that price, he would have taken it?

He said he had a price of £X,000 to spend and would buy a car within 48 hours. I said I wanted offers in the region of X + £1000. He paid X + £600. This was all by email. He's only seen photos of the car.

What do Westfields go for these days. He seems to think its a nice one.

I think it would have to be a very special Pinto powered Westy to get anywhere near £7000.

Properly tuned and set up, a good 2.1 engined car shouldn't disappoint.... even the Button brothers, Jason and Jenson!

When you are older, I will tell you why people of a certain age get up in the middle of the night (but by then you will already know)
