I have posted my experience with Carlisle DVLA before. Swansea DVLA say 20 to 30 working days. I have finally cracked and contacted my MP. He has written to the Chief Executive of the DVLA asking for an explanation and to "expedite" the registration of my vehicle.

After 6 weeks of waiting the dvla in borehamwood contacted me and told me the chassis number will have to be changed. This is the chassis number that vosa accepted, my insurance company accepted and that dvla accepted when doing the built-up inspection.
I'm not happy , but my MP is working on his ex's claims so 'm gonna contact Joanna Lumley.

Oh crap did borhamwood give an explanation as to why they won't except the no? I am waiting for a reply from them two...

No real answer only ''we will issue a q plate only after the chassis number is changed so you will have to go to a local garage, have them stamp the new number on it and then have them stamp a letter to prove it has been done''

Still waiting for them to call back as I have put in a complaint about it

If only they had said this before the BUI then I would have changed it and they could have seen it when the BUI was done. Now I facing the expense of having it transported to a garage to have a new number put onto it. Stupid just stupid
