I wonder what people have found is the best way to sell on their unwanted stuff. I have a huge list now from car projects to r/c heli’s and am just not sure which would be the best way. Just wondering what folk prefer these days. Obviously I want everything sold asap

I've advertised things on here and either they sell within minutes or they don't go at all. When I want junk, sorry valuable items, I buy from eBay but I'd be careful about selling on there. If you've got lots of stuff to sell, just reckon on at least 1 thing going to a scammer who wants his money back and just write it off.

I find things find their own price on ebay, sometimes it's a pleasant suprise, sometimes not.

I always find it difficult asking for a decent price on here, I've sold stuff on here and kicked myself later thinking how much I could've got for it.

I sold an old knackered crossflow on ebay, I'd probably have asked for £30-40 on here, on ebay it went for £200.

99p, no reserve is my mantra, it draws the punters in

cheers good advice, I also don't like asking for too much on here either as everyone is out for a bargain and basically out to get things for a tiny fraction of what it cost the seller

agree ebay is the way to go

tried doing a car boot recently and couldnt believe the neck on some of those people! one guy wouldnt part with £1 for a brand new boxed wireless optical mouse! said it wasnt worth it unless it was laser ffs!

The trick is to expose the advert to as many people as possible.

I would say that most people look on ebay for stuff. If you also post on forums that you are selling stuff on Ebay then that should cover off most of the potential punters.

You might be lucky at a car boot sale or in the local paper bu they can be quite limited marketplaces.

ok well that’s pretty clear cut, looks like its all going on E-bay then. Can't stand haggling either, my attitude is if they can't afford it don't bother me. I'll bare it in mind about the no reserve on smaller items. Let the bidding war commence!

Mr Whippy, are you suggesting that this lot on here is looking to pay only fractions of what things cost the seller? That would imply a positive number, say 1/16th or so. No, we are looking for FREE, if possible!!! Or we'll never get them done for 250 pounds.
